DisEASE: Privacy Policy
DisEASE operates on de-identified inputs only. It does not request, and must not be given, protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII).
Account information you provide at registration (such as your name, email, NPI, and organization) is used to verify your eligibility as a licensed clinician and to operate your account.
Cookies. Signing in sets cookies that are strictly necessary to keep your session secure; they require no consent and hold no clinical data. The public site (the pages you can read without signing in) uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and which links are followed. Analytics never runs inside the clinical application.
Your choice. On your first visit to the public site you are asked whether to accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a consent-restricted mode that sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device, sending only cookieless, aggregated measurement signals. If you accept, it sets first-party cookies (their names begin with _ga) that identify your browser for up to two years. You can decline, or change your decision at any time, through the Privacy choices link in the footer. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having declined.
What analytics holds. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include your name, your email address, or anything entered into the clinical application. We do not use it for advertising personalization, and we have opted out of sharing it with Google for the improvement of its other products. Google processes it as our service provider under its own privacy terms.
